Pablo's AWESOME Footy Finals Fever Competition - Redux
Oh. My. D-O-G!
For only the third time in the 116-year history of the Australian Football League (and its predecessor, the Victorian Football League), last Saturday's Grand Final was... a DRAW. In a tough encounter, both the Saint Kilda Saints and the Collingwood Magpies scored 68 points each.
And you know what? Unlike every other major sporting competition I've ever heard of, according to the AFL rules, there's no overtime in the Grand Final. No tiebreaker.
They have a replay.
For reals.
It's like having TWO Christmases!
So, my AWESOME Footy Finals Fever Competition has been extended. Same rules, same teams (see last week's post for more info). Get your tips in by 2.30pm Australian Eastern Standard Time this Saturday. (By the way, tips recorded last week DON'T count for this week... you hafta enter your tip on this post.)
Cheers,
--Pabs

By the way, in the comments to last week's post, Huffle Mawson tipped the Magpies by 5 points for the rematch. That tip stands for this week, Huffle.
Hi Pablo - we got so behind we haven't even seen you - we have no idea about the contest we will hve to look at it! It is pretty cool that they have to replay the finals - that sounds like it makes the game way more interesting than going into overtime!
We've never heard of a rematch before!! But we're gonna go with our last guess...the Saint Kilda Saints by 10 points.
Mawhawhaw! Go the Saints!
Purrrr
We'll go for St Kilda by 6 points again,

Gypsy & Tasha
Yeah, our mum's rubbish at helping us so of course we're late. Concats to Collingwood :)
Oh good, I was just going to ask if my tip counted :) Looks like I was the only one who tipped the mighty Pies!
My male human watched the final on the internet. He had to pay for it, but he wanted to see it. He was very disappointed about the result though..
Rats! We missed a guess, but without checkign any scores or whatnots we're hoping the Saint Kilda by 15 points. It has been a long time since they won the flag so we hope they do. We have an American football team in our city (the Cincinnati Bengals) who have been so bad for so long they are kinda laughingstocks so we always root for the underdog...or undercat...
I wish it was Springtime again here, but we're heading into a very cold Autumn season already!
