Thanks, everycat!

Message from Kate: Me again. Thanks so much, everycat, for your good thoughts and prayers for my dear Pabsy's health. And thanks so much to dear Huffle for spreading the word about Pablo's latest health scare. It means a lot to know that there's a whole world of kitties and woofies and their families thinking of us all the way down here.

It's Sunday evening here. Early this afternoon, the v-e-t called us and said that Pabs was doing well, his blockage has been cleared and his urine output is good. But he still has a catheter in and his appetite has been poor. The v-e-t wants him to eat wet food (the special diet kind that dissolves urinary crystals), and I know that it's best, but he just won't eat it. We've tried him on it; the best that we could do was get him to eat the special urinary diet biscuits. Anyway, the v-e-t gave him some valium today to stimulate his appetite; let's hope that works.

All things being well, we'll be able to bring Pabs home some time tomorrow. We'll keep everyone posted. Thanks again for being so caring; it really does mean a lot.

Cheers,
--Kate

We hope you get to bring your lovely boy home tomorrow. You must be missing each other a lot. Did Pabs need surgery this time? Smoochies to you all!

HUGE purrs coming Pablo's way!

MomKat: I had a heck of a time getting two of my furkids to switch to canned food...you may have to find a brand he will eat and gradually make the switch. I also put kibbles on top of the wet food to encourage them to eat it. I don't think they recognized it as food! Good luck and Give your FurMan a big kiss from me.

Oh no! Poor Pabs, poor Alex, poor Kate. We are so sorry we didn't know you were sicky Pablo. We are sending the strongest hardiest purrs to heal you right up.

We also hope Baby Alex is doing better. A sick kitty and sick baby bean are no fun.

We hope you get to come home tomorrow Pablo. We know you'll heal up much better with your family. Can your mommy mix the special food with something you like? I went on a food fast once when my beans switched me to the healthy food. Finally they started mixing a pea sized amount of the new stuff with my old stuff. It took a month or so.

Or, does the special food come in different flavors? Maybe it is trying a different flavor?

We will purrrrrr it all works out. Maybe eating the special biscuits means you'll get more of them!
