While the Kate's away...

I am not allowed on the table.

It's one of the Cardinal Rules.

But when Kate flies off to Melbourne for a week, such rules go out the window. Tables are great. I love being up on higher levels. You get a different perspective on life. Speaking of different perspectives (how's that for a segue?), Kate sent me back this picture she took in Chinatown in the Melbourne CBD:

They're Chinese lucky cats, said to bring prosperity to businesses who display them in their window. I'll have to ask my Chinese friend Shelley what the characters say.

Anyway, Kate's back home now, having attended her 'important conference', seen her football team get thrashed (that's what we call it when one team beats another by a big margin) by Nick's football team and dressed up as Madonna at Aunty Tracey's karaoke birthday party. She didn't get to go and see Axel though, which sucks.

So I'll be back on the blogosphere as normal now. But I don't think I'll try my luck on the table anymore. I might get squirted with the water spray!

Cheers,
--Pabs

Oh dear, daddy told me it was next weekend?! He must have got it wrong. We didnt get the chance to convince Kate to visit :( I think daddy's a bit disappointed, oh well, next time i guess.

Speaking of that weird ball game that people play, us liddle cats certainly scratched the eye's out of them big tigers!!

Welcome back, Pablo. I like those Chinese cats. The paw up pose is very fetching. It only stands to reason that they would be good luck, eh?

We get sprayed with the water sometimes too, but usually when we go into the "guest bedroom" where we're not allowed. Hurmph! We never have any guests in there anyway and there is very interesting stuff piled all over the place. It's perfect for a cat to explore.

Pablo, I'm so glad you're back and that you liked your poem. I like to get up on the table. I just wait until Denis and Tracy are gone for the day. I don't usually get the water spray for table lounging. Just a scolding and that's not such a big deal.

I am not supposed to be on the table either. But I go up there anyway. All the time. Hehe.

I think it's time to remind your humans that we cats obey no rules. We go where we want to and be where we want to, including table tops!

Jumpin' on the table is so much fun! But we aren't allowed either - I HATE the water bottle!

I saw a beautiful video of you Pabsy, your cat sitter sent it to Kate when she was up in melbourne.

She showed me at Aunty Tracey's place.

You seemed to be rolling, ahem, on a table??? or what is the floor??

Hi, Pablo! I wanted to innerduce myself and say hi. The Chinese kitties are niftyneatcool. And about gettin' on tables and stuff, I kinda think beans should be reminded every now and again that they used to worship cats in ancient Egypt!

Pabs, do pass on birthday wishes to Kate for me, won't you?

Jeter: Chinese squillions... that's what they are! Now I'm laffin and laffin!

Amy: No comment on the table remark... nice to know that my video was broadcast among the people of Melbourne.

Benny: It's Kate's birthday? Thanks for reminding me. I'll pass your wishes on.

Your human girl certainly has loads of adventures Pablo. I do think you should show who's boss though and spend more time on the table. I make a point of waiting until the humans clean off the kitchen counter with Dettox anti-bac spray and then sit on it. It drives them wild. FAZ

*yawn* the rent payers continue to bang the table when i'm on it. and, truth be known i have previously been good with the "stay off the table" rule. however, in the new place they have sat it near the window where that stupid Jasper comes past staring into from the outaside, so i need to be on the table to make sure i am higher than him when staring back. so, sorry, but if you want me off the table, take it away from my window!!
