My latest acquisition

The Pablo Refrigerator Gallery is proud to reveal its latest acquisition, a mixed media piece by renowned littlebean artist (and my good friend) Phebe. According to the artist's statement, the cat's name is 'Ilada'. It must be noted that the Oregon fridge magnet (a gift from the Pablo Fan Club when their beans visited Australia last year) was my touch, and not part of the original work.

'Illada' takes her place alongside the other iconic works of feline-inspired art in the Pablo Refrigerator Gallery, which includes one of Phebe's earlier works, 'Untitled #37, with pipe cleaners', acquired by the gallery in 2008:

As you can see, the Pablo Refrigerator Gallery contains one of the world's finest collections of feline-inspired art created by littlebeans.

Cheers,
--Pabs

(P.S. Thanks so much, everycat, for all your purrs and well-wishes on my gotchaversary/birthday last week. Sorry I haven't been very active in the blogosphere of late. Apparently Kate has been 'very busy'. Whatevs.)

Glad to see that I am still included in the feline fridge gallery.

Smooches to you pabs. Tell Nick and Kate to take it easy, put their feet up on the couch and crack open a cold one.

The artwork is inspiring and the fridge gallery puts Frank Gehry to shame. It's a brilliant modernist construction in metals and plastic.

I say, forget the Guggenheim, forget the Tate Modern, visit Pablo's fridge in Hobart.

Oh man, our mum is trying to pull that 'busy' excuse over us, too. Honestly!

It looks like Phebe has found her muse in you, Pabs. She is a very clever artist.

I love the shrine to you on the fridge. I shall have to ask my humans why they aren't paying tribute to me there too!

Great art! We are way behind in everything so we missed your birthday/gotcha day. Best wishes for a great year ahead.

You were so kind to leave a comforting comment upon my beloved Jake’s passing last month. The cat blogosphere is a wonderfully caring community, and I am honored to be a part of it. Thank you for your support during this difficult time for me. Jake’s memory will forever live in my heart and mind.
