I'm still here

Kate promised to set this awesome cat bed up outside for me to help me relax while I'm recovering. I couldn't wait for her to finish.

Hi everycat.

Pablo here. Thanks so much to y'all for your care and concern and advice while I've been sick. We really appreciate it.

I've been home from my last trip to the v-e-t for a week now. Sorry I haven't blogged until now.

I'm still feeling pretty delicate. I'm not doing a whole lot, just resting, just catching some of our awesome spring rays.

My last blockage was crystals, not protein. So the v-e-t said I need to be on an all-wet-food diet (prescription diet) to help me stay unblocked.

I miss my crunchy food.

I miss it so much that I wouldn't eat the wet stuff to begin with... until they gave me Valium to calm me down and stimulate my appetite. I hafta say, that stuff makes me feel... strange. Floppy. Clingy.

But I seem to be eating ok (not heaps though) and peeing ok. Got a checkup on Wednesday. Kate's supposed to try and collect a #1 sample from me before then.

Yeah, good luck with that, Kate.

Cheers,
--Pabs

Pabs, you can join my Friday fit club too. I am aiming to lose 10% or 0.5 kg by the beginning of April.

My mum is joining in too, and some of the other cat bloggers.

Smooches to you tabby man. Glad to see you have finally got some Tassie sunshine. Hope Kate and bubs have got outside too.

Oh Pablo, change is hard when it comes to food, we all just went through that.
(((hugs))) - I really hope you start to perk up!

Pablo, we're sending lots of purrs that you continue to get better and adjust to your new food. It can be hard to make changes like that. Derry can relate; he's a real kibble-head and would eat nothing but if our mom let him. But we get only very limited crunchies, the rest is canned, because we boys are at high risk for crystals too!

Paws crossed for you, Pablo!

We've been very worried about you, Pabs. We're glad to hear you're home and settling back in. We've struggled with the food change too. (((hugs)))

We have not eaten dry food for a long time now, and we love our diet which is a combination of raw food some days, and canned food about 2 days a week. Getting more liquid via a wet food diet will be very healthy for you! I hope your appetite will perk up soon!

Pablo, we are sooo happy to hear from you! Grayce sends you a headbutt and a cuddle to her fellow member of the Bad Bladder Club.
"Enjoy" that valium...can you believe Humans LIKE that stuff!?!
We would prefer to eat kibble too, 24/7. That stuff is as addictive, like crisps are for people!

Hi Pabs! We're glad you are doing okay and you haven't blocked up again lately. We're sorry you can't have your crunchies anymore...but if the wet stuff makes you not block up, well, guess you gotta go with that. We hope you continue to improve everyday. Now tell Kate to get that bed put together!!
