He's a gato from Mexico. My friend (and former housemate) Rachel brought him back from Mexico to give to me. I named him Javier, cause he's a little bit scary, like Javier Bardem in No country for old men ('What's the most you ever lost on a coin toss?'). I think he looks a little like he's dressed up for el dia de los muertos. Javier Gato, that is, not Javier Bardem.Anyway, ¡bienvenidos, Javier! Please don't kill me in my sleep. Mi casa es su casa, mate.

Boy ... That Javier is one good-lookin' gato. Some of our locals spell the name "Xavier" instead. I don't think that you'll have to worry 'bout your Javier unless he starts calling you "friend-o" ... hee, hee.
