Baby Alex is pretty smart.
From an early age, he realised that to be a member of this family, you hafta earn your stripes.
The photo above was taken when Alex was just a few weeks old. Not only are stripes his #1 fashion choice, he also chooses to stimulate his growing brain by gazing at some high-contrast tiger stripes in this artwork by prolific kidbean artist Phebe.
'Mr Tiger', as we call him, guards Alex's change table. He has become Alex's closest friend and confidante.
Apart from me, of course.
Cheers,

Well, obviously you're the top cat in the house Pabs. Good that Alex is learning the ropes!
He's growing up right!
Pablo, I can see you have Alex on the right track!
Hi, Pablo. Nice to meet you. I am sure you are the best gaurd cat fro Alex, but it is good to have a stand-in at the changing table!
With you and Mr. Tiger leading the way, Alex will be the brightest boy in all the world. By golly he is a cutie. Give Kate a pat on the back, buddy. She did good!:)
What an opportunity you have there, Pablo! You can impart all your Mancatly wisdom & experience to your little brother.
All are on your mancatly shoulders, Pabs!I am sure you are more than up to the task of guiding and guarding the little one.
I think it is a great idea to make baby Alex go thru the ropes to earn his stripes. He is smart to have kitties, both real and drawings, as his bestest friends.
Just wait until he is able to feed you and give you chin scritches Pabs. Awesome!
Happy way belated 10th birthday buddy. The world is a better place with you in it.
So Pabs, does that mean you support the Richmond Tigers?! I can't imagine Kate would be too pleased with that!
We think that Alex is learning very well and earning his stripes!
Ginger stripes!
Happy belated 10th my Tassie Tabby friend. Glad to see wee Alex values the power of the stripes. Hope your mum an dad are getting some more sleeps now.
