I've been very busy today.
I wanted Kate to take a really stylish St Patrick's Day portrait of me playing in the patch of clover outside so I could post it for everyone to see. But when the time came to take the shot, I just couldn't stand still. This was the best one that we got...
Lots of Tasmanians are of Irish descent, including Kate. The Irish immigrants of the past probably brought their cats with them, so there's a good chance that I've got some Irishcat in me too. So, I thought I owed it to my ancestors to try another project...
St Patrick was a pretty important guy; he invented Ireland in 1371. He also invented Guinness and potatoes a few years after that. The other important thing that he did was to kick all the snakes out of Ireland, so Irish cats would never have to worry about them. That's why everyone celebrates on March 17. Even the cat on Kate's cat-a-day calendar was decked out for the occasion, although he doesn't look very happy about it:
(By the way, notice how the cat-a-day calendar cheats on weekends? I bet the cat didn't even get paid extra for having to cover two days...)
Anyway, Happy St Patrick's Day!
Cheers,
--Pabby O'Riley (Pabs)

Pablo, thanks for the very interesting lesson about St. Patrick. Anyone who gets rid of snakes must be good. And I have to tell you that I LOVE your message board!

Happy St Patrick's Day! Where did you learn to spell like that? You must be extremely clever.
What a terrific card you made for St. Patrick's Day, Pablo! And you look wonderful in all of that greenery. Happy St. Patrick's Day to you!

Nice job on the St. Pat's day card!

What a great job you did on that poster, Pablo. It looks like it took you quite a bit of time to get it just right to send all your friends a special message. Happy St. Patrick's Day!
If he invented food he's pretty smart. That's the only thing I'd want to invent.
What about the football?
Didn't your people watch it on TV and get all excited?
Yeah, Nick and Kate watched the footy. I know that Kate said that the NAB Cup was the 'Kiss of Death' for the season proper, but I think she was still pretty excited when The Blues won out. Poor Kate. Unlike you, Daniel (as a Lions fan), she hasn't seen much success of late. Nick was happy for Kate, but he's a Saints man, so he wasn't too happy. Nick and Kate are heading to the Telstra Dome on May 4 to see their teams play each other. I hope they're still married when they get home! (Sorry everyone, this has been Australian Football League talk.)
Here's a joke for you from my human (her grandparents were Irish). How come the Irish got potatoes and the Arabs got oil? The Irish got to choose first. He he he. Faz O'Zakerly
